Our 2025 Audited Financial Statements have been released

At School of Hard Knocks, accountability and transparency are core to how we work. We are proud to share that our latest audited financial statements for the 10-month period ending 31 December 2025 have now been finalised and independently audited.

This reporting period was unique, as we changed our financial year-end from February to December to better align with our programme calendar and donor reporting timelines.

Some key takeaways from this year’s audit include:

• An unqualified independent audit opinion, confirming that the financial statements fairly present the organisation’s financial position.

• No material risks, fraud concerns, audit adjustments, or significant internal control weaknesses were identified during the audit process.

• R4.19 million in donations received during the reporting period, directly supporting mental health and mentorship programmes for young people across the Western Cape.

• A year-end cash position of R1.22 million, helping ensure organisational sustainability and continuity into 2026.

Behind every number is a young person who received support, a mentor who showed up consistently, and a community strengthened through connection and care.
